The school was created on September 1992 at Setcases. The idea came up within a group of enthusiastic teachers and parents who wanted to develop a different way of teaching and learning. They thought they could build school in the middle of nature. In 1997, the school was guided by a teacher’s cooperative. One year later, a new school was built, founded by families. At the beginning of 2005, the new building was opened in the middle of the forest at Setcases. At that time, the school had not enough pupils for each classroom, so students of different ages shared one classroom.
During the academic year 2008-2009, the school agreed to the regime of the Generalitat de Catalunya and become a private school.
